This project brings together an eclectic mix of old-school hip-hop beats, powerful Kinyarwanda bars, and a roster of rising stars, reflecting SAMISH’s unique artistry and deep cultural pride.

The BIG BLACK LIPS EP is an unapologetic celebration of individuality, resilience, and cultural identity. With tracks produced by industry heavyweights like Dr. Nganji, Gatikabisi, and SAMISH himself, the project blends lyrical mastery with bold, authentic narratives. Featured collaborations include Gatikabisi (Black Putin), NERIWEST and Insibika (Umutima), and White Monkey (Big Black Lips), among others.

SAMISH: A Force in Rwandan Music
SAMISH is a talented Rwandan DJ and producer based in Kigali. He began his music career in 2017, making his mark as the official DJ for Green Ferry Music. His first album, “RYI” (Rasi y’Igisuka), was released in 2020 and features collaborations with prominent Rwandan artists such as Bushali, Ish Kevin, Kaya Byinshii, Kivumbi King, Amalon, Icenova, and many others, showcasing his versatility in the industry. In addition to his role as a DJ and producer, SAMISH is the official DJ for both the I AM HIP HOP FESTIVAL and RAPSTARS EXPERIENCE concerts, further solidifying his reputation as a key figure in Rwanda’s music scene.
